Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Chicopee, MA
Step into a rewarding position working closely with K-12 students, primarily PreK-6th, as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive, school-based environment. This contract opportunity starts immediately and runs through June 11, following the academic calendar. You'll work onsite, providing essential services to help students achieve their full communication potential within the classroom setting.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Current Massachusetts Speech Language Pathologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with school staff and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
In this role, you’ll:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement appropriate Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and timely records for each student in compliance with school and state regulations
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for student care
- Engage in ongoing professional development and benefit from advisory support
