School Speech Language Pathologist - Cicero, Illinois
Step into an engaging role supporting students' communication growth in a welcoming school community near Cicero, IL! This onsite opportunity is designed for contract professionals eager to make a positive impact during the 26/27 school year, with a manageable caseload that allows you to focus on quality interventions and collaborative support.
You’ll work a steady schedule of 35 hours per week, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a dedicated, duty-free lunch break. You'll provide essential speech and language services to approximately 35 students, including RTI/MTSS support. Responsibilities include working directly with students with expressive/receptive/pragmatic language, articulation/phonology, and fluency needs. You’ll also support a smaller cross-categorical instructional classroom for 3rd grade, and manage a select group of students receiving solely speech/language services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered service delivery

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational and social success
- Maintain accurate records and participate in case management responsibilities
