Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold an active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) in good standing (be prepared to provide a screenshot as proof)
- Credentials can be verified online through the state’s license and educator portals
- Previous experience as a school-based SLP preferred; however, strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work part-time, onsite only (remote work is not available for this role)
- Comfortable serving a Kindergarten through 2nd-grade population
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a small caseload (9 students), carefully planning and documenting interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attend new hire orientation (August 12-14) and follow the school calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Complete all documentation and reporting requirements in a timely manner
- Use evidence-based practices to help students achieve communication goals
