This contract opportunity involves working onsite with a manageable caseload, offering the chance to provide specialized support for a small group of students in a collaborative, supportive school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license required (PEL and SLP license; be prepared to provide a screenshot for documentation)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) or a strong Clinical Fellow (CF) will be considered
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with children in grades K-2, especially those with special education needs
- Commitment to on-site work for the duration of the assignment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of 9 students in K-2
- Conduct thorough assessments and ongoing progress monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers and staff
- Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with district policies and state regulations
- Participate in required orientation (August 12th-14th, dates tentative)
