A K-12 school in South Holland, IL is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive therapy services during the contracted school year. This role is full-time with consideration for part-time candidates and is strictly onsite, supporting a diverse student population from early childhood through grade 12.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably K-12
- Knowledge of healthcare-related speech therapy practices
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) strongly preferred
- Ability to deliver early childhood speech and language interventions
- Must be able to work independently without supervision from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language evaluations and individualized therapy plans for students across multiple grade levels
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other support staff to promote student progress
- Maintaining compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Documenting and reporting student progress regularly
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to tailor interventions to student needs
