This position runs from June through the first week of August, with a manageable schedule of two days per week, averaging 5-6 hours each day (10-12 hours total per week). With no AAC users on your caseload, you’ll focus on helping students strengthen speech and language skills in a dynamic and collaborative school environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Eligibility for state licensure (or current valid licensure)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient approach with students and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students at the elementary level
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain progress documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute insights for individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth
