Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Camillus, NY
Camillus, NY
Make a meaningful difference in students’ communication abilities by providing skilled speech-language pathology services in a school-based pediatric setting. This contract position focuses on supporting children’s speech, language, and social development within a collaborative and dynamic educational environment.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Pediatric and/or school-based SLP experience highly desired
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to create individualized therapy plans and adapt to diverse student needs
- Collaborative spirit for working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders with evidence-based methods
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Maintain accurate and timely progress reports, data, and required documentation
- Provide both one-on-one and small group therapy sessions in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and staff to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on interdisciplinary teams as needed
