This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a rewarding contract position supporting middle school students. Offering both summer and school year placements, this role provides a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week.

Work with a caseload of approximately 45-50 students in a vibrant, supportive educational environment. Focus your expertise on helping students with a range of needs, including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Language Impairments. You'll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to communication and achieve academic and social success.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Maryland SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
  • School-based SLP experience preferred, especially with middle school populations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based therapy interventions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain thorough and timely records according to school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and ongoing progress updates
