School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Baltimore, Maryland

We are seeking a committed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve youth at an innovative alternative school near Baltimore, MD. This contract position offers the flexibility to create a schedule that fits your needs, working 24-29 hours a week (with Wednesdays off), and provides the remarkable opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students ages 8-21, primarily high schoolers.
Step into a collaborative environment supporting the communication and academic goals of students with emotional, behavioral, and academic differences. The position starts as soon as possible with coverage through June 25, 2026, and an option to continue for the next school year (July 6, 2026 – June 17, 2027). You’ll make a difference every day for students with IEPs, helping them succeed both in and outside the classroom.
What you bring:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience or strong interest working with special education populations
- Understanding of emotional, behavioral, and academic support strategies for grades 3-12
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25 students
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students with IEPs
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for holistic student care
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Empower students to achieve communication and educational milestones
