Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Cambridge, Massachusetts
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist supporting elementary and preschool students in the Cambridge, MA area. This onsite role involves working directly with a diverse group of young learners, with a caseload of approximately 45 students. You'll collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans, helping each child reach their communication potential. Clinical Fellows are welcomed and will find a supportive environment focused on both student and professional growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Speech Language Pathologist License (or eligibility at time of hire)
- Clinical Fellowship applicants encouraged and supported
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to create and implement effective therapy interventions for elementary and preschool populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapies to assigned students
- Maintain thorough and accurate student records in compliance with all relevant regulations
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support student progress
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development initiatives
