Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Camarillo, California
Step into an impactful role supporting preschool students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a contract basis. In this dynamic position, you’ll work closely with children ages 3-5, providing vital speech and language services across several school sites. With a collaborative atmosphere and another SLP at your location, you’ll enjoy support as you help nurture communication skills for up to 50 young learners.
You’ll play an essential part in a school community that also values interdisciplinary teamwork—occupational therapy services are available on campus. This assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 17, 2026. If you’re looking for variety and a meaningful caseload, this is an excellent opportunity.
Ideal Background:
- Current licensure or eligibility as an SLP in California; CCC or CFY welcome
- Experience or strong interest in early childhood, pediatrics, and schools
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms as well as on-site therapy
- SLPA and SLP professionals with healthcare or school-based skills considered
- Passion for collaborative work and flexibility to support multiple sites
- Strong communication and record-keeping abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy to preschoolers with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Travel between school sites as needed
- Maintain progress notes and data to monitor student success
- Participate in team meetings and help coordinate with occupational therapy staff
Additional Details:
- Full-time schedule for the full academic year
- Spring break runs March 30-April 10, 2026
