Speech Language Pathologist in Burnsville, MN

This position provides Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) coverage for a maternity leave, supporting students within the Transitional Education Service Alternative (TESA) program for ages 18 to 21+. Situated within a dedicated team, you'll make a meaningful contribution to students’ communication skills as they transition toward independence.
This contract runs from November 9th to March 1st. Enjoy the flexibility of a .8 position, working four full days per week (7:30 AM–3:30 PM) with your choice of a day off—ideal for work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, preferably with young adult or transition-age students
- Minnesota SLP licensure required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative approach
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized care
- Experience with transition programming or working with students ages 18+ is a plus
- In-person availability is required (virtual SLP/SLPA roles are not considered for this assignment)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to TESA program students
- Provide assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators and transition staff to support students’ IEP goals
- Assist in facilitating transition activities related to speech and language needs
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and stakeholders regarding progress
- Maintain documentation in accordance with school policies and compliance standards
