Make a lasting impact in the educational setting by supporting students’ communication and learning as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist. This full-time, on-site opportunity is based in the Burleson, TX area and runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027. Working on a contract basis, you’ll play a vital role in helping K-12 students achieve their educational goals through improved speech and language abilities. The position includes the possibility of an itinerant schedule supporting both an elementary and a high school, with case management responsibilities and, for some, supervising SLPAs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist license is required
- Experience in school-based SLP roles strongly preferred
- Familiarity working with K-12 populations
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills highly valued
- Ability to supervise SLPAs and/or manage cases across multiple campuses
- Must complete or verify fingerprints through TEA (may take up to 10 business days for processing)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in a K-12 setting
- Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants as assigned
- Manage caseloads for one or two campuses, including assessment, documentation, and parent/staff communication
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ needs
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
