Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Colorado (CO) SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience working in a school setting, preferably with an elementary caseload
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of district and state guidelines for school-based SLPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records, including assessments, therapy notes, and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
- Provide consultative support to school staff regarding language and communication challenges
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
