School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Bolingbrook, Illinois
Support the communication needs of K-8 students as a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. This opportunity involves serving 1-2 schools, working primarily with a bilingual caseload of elementary and middle grade students. You’ll be part of an established team that provides guidance and supervision, and will have a consistent weekly schedule during the academic year, starting in mid-August and concluding in late May.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid PEL with LBS 1 required
- Skilled in school-based SLP practices, preferably with prior experience supporting diverse, bilingual K-8 populations
- Comfortable managing caseloads across 1-2 school sites (no high school students)
- Ability to provide therapy, assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual proficiency and cultural competence for working with multilingual student groups
- Open to contract placements; strong commitment to the school year assignment
- Must complete district onboarding, including required fingerprinting, prior to start date
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to bilingual students in grades K-8
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing progress monitoring
- Develop and implement effective IEP goals in partnership with school staff and families
- Participate in onsite interview (panel or 1:1 format) scheduled by the district
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
- Receive supervision as appropriate for certification or licensure needs
