Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Current Texas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages
- Comfortable with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and crafting individualized intervention plans
- Flexible, organized, and adept at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students referred by educators and parents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups, to enhance speech, language, and communication skills
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student goals and accommodations
- Consult regularly with teachers and families to support classroom integration of strategies
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
