Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, interpret evaluation results, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of needs
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatments as needed
- Work closely with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support academic and social communication
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing professional development
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines related to student services
