School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bloomfield, Connecticut
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with this in-person contract opportunity for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists. This full-time role runs from ASAP through June 2027, serving a diverse caseload of K-12 students across multiple school settings. Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Comfortable managing a K-12 caseload
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy and interventions to varied ages and needs
- Must be available for in-person work throughout the contract duration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data collection per school and regulatory requirements
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations
- Serve multiple schools within the district, adapting to different environments and team cultures
