School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Avon, Indiana
Exciting contract opportunities are available for two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) near Avon, IN! These school-based roles serve K–12 students, offering professionals the chance to make a meaningful and lasting difference in children's lives. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and caseloads of approximately 60+ students per SLP, these positions provide a dynamic and rewarding environment for those passionate about pediatric speech therapy.
Currently, two needs are open:
– The first is maternity leave coverage with a high likelihood of extension. There is a significant possibility for ongoing assignment due to changing workforce availability.
– The second is a contract running through May 2027 unless a direct hire is made, offering substantial long-term stability.
Candidates should be able to start as soon as possible. Interviews are being scheduled immediately, and both positions are expected to be filled by September 11.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Indiana SLP licensure or eligibility
- Experience in school settings working with pediatric populations
- Knowledge of teletherapy platforms a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, diagnostics, and direct speech-language therapy for K–12 students
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate records and document all services rendered
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
