Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active and valid SLP license (state certification required)
- Experience working with school-aged children (elementary, middle, and high school)
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for helping students achieve their individual speech and language goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services across multiple school settings
- Monitor, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Deliver parent and teacher training as needed for carryover strategies
- Adapt services to fit the unique needs of each educational environment
