School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Aurora, Colorado
Make a difference in students’ lives by providing speech-language support within an engaging school environment. This rewarding contract opportunity is based near Aurora, CO and offers the flexibility to work part-time or full-time through the end of the school year. You'll collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and help students reach their communication goals across multiple school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required prior to start
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Willingness to mentor/assist Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Ability to adapt to traveling between school locations (itinerant role)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct therapy services onsite, working with diverse student populations
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to achieve student goals
- Maintain thorough records of services and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities
- Support pre-service professionals or CFs as appropriate
This is a fully onsite assignment, ensuring hands-on involvement and direct student impact. The position is available part-time or full-time, for the remainder of the school year.
