Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for school-based SLP practice
- Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs, addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs and monitor progress
- Develop and implement individualized and evidence-based treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support student achievement and foster communication goals
- Maintain clear, timely records in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Consult with educational teams regarding instructional strategies and classroom modifications to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide input for eligibility and service planning
