Make a difference for students in the Tacoma, WA area as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) during the 2026-2027 school year! This rewarding K-12 opportunity lets you put your SLP-CCC expertise to use in a supportive school environment, working on a contract basis from September 1, 2026, through June 23, 2027. With a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, you’ll positively impact learners and collaborate with a dedicated educational team.

What you’ll need:

  • Active Washington State SLP licensure OR eligibility and willingness to obtain it
  • ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification for Washington, or willingness to acquire
  • Fingerprinting through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction), or ability to complete this requirement
  • SLPA-CCC certification
  • Demonstrated experience in a school setting (K-12 experience especially valued)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to support a variety of communication disorders in a diverse student population

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services onsite to K-12 students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records following district and state guidelines
  • Provide support and education to staff and families regarding students’ communication needs
