Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably at the elementary level
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Role Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate service records and progress reports to share with the educational team and parents
- Participate in meetings and contribute actively to the success of multi-disciplinary teams
- Offer support to staff and families regarding speech and language development strategies
