With a start in August, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, making a direct impact on young learners’ communication skills in a vibrant educational setting. Ideal candidates bring a foundation in pediatric or school-based speech therapy and are comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Whether you hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), your expertise will guide students on their journey to communication success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Eligible for Virginia SLP license and Department of Education certification
- SLP-CCC or strong SLP-CFY candidates welcome
- Experience in elementary school caseloads preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and provide both individual and group therapy
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver a full range of speech and language services to K-5 students
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop individualized treatment plans
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and create impactful therapy goals
- Maintain timely IEP documentation and progress tracking
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
