Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid SLP license applicable for California
- Proven experience in pediatric speech therapy settings
- Background working in schools or similar educational environments
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Deliver direct therapy sessions to meet students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated care and support within the classroom
- Document assessments, progress, and recommendations in compliance with district and regulatory guidelines
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and advocacy for students’ communication needs
- Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and recommended strategies
