As a valued team member, you’ll be based across two elementary schools, managing a rewarding caseload of approximately 47 students. You’ll facilitate communication growth and be an integral part of students’ success stories throughout the school year.
What We're Looking For:
- SLPs must hold current CCC and appropriate Alaska certification and licensure
- SLPAs must also possess valid Alaska licensure
- Experience in school settings (particularly elementary) is highly valued
- Ability to dedicate 40 hours per week following a consistent schedule (8.5 hours per day, .5 hour unpaid lunch)
- Passion for working onsite with students—remote or VOCO work is not available
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload of students
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Document service delivery and maintain effective student records
- Provide guidance and consultation for classroom staff regarding students' speech and language needs
