Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Background in special education, psychology, social work, or related field
  • Experience working as an Autism Specialist, Case Manager, or in a similar capacity within K-12 settings
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for learners with autism
  • Excellent communication, record-keeping, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families
  • Compassionate, problem-solving approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ unique learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and behavior intervention plans
  • Serve as the primary case manager, coordinating services and ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to maximize student progress
  • Provide guidance and training to staff regarding best practices in autism support
  • Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to meetings and progress reports
