Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Wisconsin Dells, WI

This contract role focuses on assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders, supporting patients throughout their recovery journey.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and unrestricted state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Proven background working in a hospital or healthcare setting as an SLP
- Strong skills in evaluating and treating a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication skills for patient and staff education
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; flexibility may be required depending on patient needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and deliver individualized therapy for speech, language, and swallowing impairments
- Document patient progress, including evaluations, care plans, progress, and discharge summaries
- Communicate with insurance providers regarding patient benefits
- Prepare for and execute evaluation and treatment sessions
- Provide research-based education and recommendations to clinical staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers
- Develop and present in-service training and educational sessions for hospital staff
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient care to support optimal outcomes
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
- Make appointment reminder calls to patients and assist patients and families in navigating hospital services
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
