Schedule/Hours:
- Contract role with flexible weekday hours (detailed information provided during interview).
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license (or eligibility) in Wisconsin.
- Clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of current best practices in evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication, patient education, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient documentation and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform direct evaluations and individualized treatments for speech, language, and swallowing issues.
- Complete thorough patient documentation, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Verify insurance benefits as necessary.
- Prepare materials and strategies for both evaluation and therapy sessions.
- Educate and consult with medical staff—including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service personnel—regarding findings, recommendations, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver in-service training and educational presentations for staff development.
- Participate in interprofessional collaboration to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas after each session.
- Provide patients with appointment reminders and assist them and their families in navigating hospital processes.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
