This role focuses on the assessment and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, supporting individuals in regaining or enhancing their communication and swallowing capabilities.

  • Contract position

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid SLP license (or eligibility) in Wisconsin
  • Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interprofessional healthcare teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver one-on-one therapy targeting speech, language, and swallowing concerns
  • Complete thorough patient documentation, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress and discharge reports
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain patient benefits as needed
  • Prepare for therapy sessions, ensuring all materials and resources are ready
  • Educate staff—including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers—on evaluation results and therapy recommendations
  • Plan and present professional development and in-service education opportunities for healthcare staff
  • Partner with other providers to create patient-centered treatment approaches
  • Maintain clean and organized therapy spaces following each session
  • Make reminder calls to scheduled patients and assist with hospital navigation for patients and families
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
