Deliver vital therapy services to patients by assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting individuals as they improve their communication and swallowing functions, all while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific shift details will be provided during the interview process.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Proficient in patient documentation and progress tracking.
  • Ability to educate diverse healthcare staff based on industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Document evaluations, develop plans of care, and complete progress and discharge reports.
  • Communicate with insurance providers to verify patient benefits.
  • Prepare for and conduct therapy sessions in a hospital setting.
  • Provide ongoing education to staff, including creating in-service presentations based on current research and practice.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, dietitians, and other staff to provide patient-centered care.
  • Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas after each session.
  • Conduct reminder calls and support patients and their families within the hospital environment.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required by the department.
