Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Oklahoma City, OK
Embark on a dynamic contract opportunity providing essential therapy services within a 72-bed long-term acute care hospital equipped with a 12-bed ICU. As the primary Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a pivotal role in helping patients recover and progress toward returning home or entering inpatient rehabilitation.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Typical shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (includes a 30-minute lunch break, 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm)
- No weekend or major holiday shifts
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), eligible for practice in a hospital setting
- Demonstrated proficiency with Modified Barium Swallow Studies; comfortable working with a C-arm and collaborating with Radiology Technicians
- Experience with patients requiring tracheostomy care, Passy Muir speaking valve, or increased oxygen support
- Proven ability to effectively communicate patient progress and concerns with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Background in treating a range of diagnoses, including CVA, stroke, TBI, SCI, and respiratory failure
- Strong independent clinical judgment and initiative, as you will be the primary SLP (with PRN support available)
- Prior experience in a hospital or long-term acute care environment highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized SLP assessment and treatment to a diverse, complex patient population
- Perform and document in-house Modified Barium Swallow Studies regularly
- Manage a productivity requirement of 50% (minimum 240 minutes of billable treatment per 8-hour day)
- Collaborate closely with an experienced team of healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate families and patients on progress, care, and rehabilitation goals

$2,606 - $2,747/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
