Speech Language Pathologist - Edmond, Oklahoma

This contract opportunity offers a pivotal role as the primary Speech Therapist, working alongside a supportive PRN therapy team in a well-equipped long-term acute care environment.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- No weekends
- No major holiday shifts
- Day starts at 8:00 am, with a dedicated lunch break from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Hospital-based SLP experience preferred
- Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies; comfortable using C-arm imaging
- Familiarity with tracheostomy management, Passy Muir speaking valves, and patients requiring higher levels of oxygen support
- Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and patient/family education
- Ability to manage varying caseloads with diagnoses such as stroke, CVA, TBI, SCI, and respiratory failure
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies in-house in coordination with Radiology staff
- Assess, plan, and provide targeted therapy to long-term acute care patients
- Collaborate closely with Physicians on patient progress and treatment adjustments
- Document patient care and maintain compliance with productivity standards, providing at least 240 minutes of billable treatment per day
- Guide patients and families through the rehabilitation process with a focus on return to home or transition to inpatient rehab

$2,606 - $2,747/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
