Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid state licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or in progress
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care environment desired
- Proficiency in swallowing evaluations and cognitive-linguistic therapies
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Compassionate, patient-centered mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and carry out individualized patient care plans in accordance with medical team recommendations
- Document therapies, patient progress, and update plans of care as needed
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals within the hospital
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, progress, and effective at-home strategies
- Remain current with best practices and professional development opportunities in the field
