As a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in hospital-based therapy, you will deliver essential diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients confronting communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with hospital-based patient populations is highly desired
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory, licensing, certification, and accrediting standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive SLP evaluations, diagnostics, and patient-centered therapy interventions
- Consult with interdisciplinary care teams to develop, execute, and monitor individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with governing regulatory bodies
- Advocate for the patient’s overall well-being and quality of life
- Participate in family and caregiver training and education as needed
