Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Join Our Team! We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of high-quality speech and language therapy services. Working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will implement treatment plans, document progress, and help individuals develop effective communication skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Collect and document therapy data, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the supervising SLP.
- Assist with preparing therapy materials and maintaining a positive therapy environment.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary team members to support communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field that meets state requirements.
- Current state SLPA license or certification, as required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
