School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Yuma, Arizona
Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ communication growth at a single school site, working with PreK-8th grade learners in a full-time, onsite contract position near Yuma, AZ. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll collaborate closely with supervising SLPs and educational teams, helping execute therapy plans and fostering student success across developmental stages.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona SLPA license is required
- IVP Fingerprint Card must be current
- Previous experience or coursework in school-based speech therapy strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to manage varied caseload needs
- Proficient with documentation and progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students in alignment with IEP goals and SLP guidance
- Support data collection and documentation as required by school and regulatory standards
- Adapt therapy activities and materials to meet diverse student needs, under supervision
- Participate in team meetings, collaboration, and professional development as needed
- Provide assistance with screenings and progress monitoring
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP, teachers, and family stakeholders to ensure a cohesive support approach
