An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) motivated to make a meaningful difference in a school-based setting near Wilmington, DE. This hands-on contract role runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, offering the chance to work with a diverse K-12 student population during the 26/27 school year. You’ll enjoy a dynamic environment where the school can provide direct supervision and support, and there is flexibility in the work schedule to best fit your needs—elementary hours run 8:00-4:00, while middle and high school hours are 6:45-2:45, with flexibility for meetings or mutually agreed-upon arrangements.
Key Qualifications:
- Active or pending Delaware SLP or SLPA license required
- Experience in educational or healthcare settings is highly valued
- Open to Clinical Fellows and credentialed SLPAs
- Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
- Comfortable working on site and able to pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support services to students in grades K-12 under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement IEP goals and individualized strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and session data
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as necessary
- Adapt to the school’s flexible hours and scheduling needs
