School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Weatherford, Texas

Make a positive difference in the lives of students as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school setting near Weatherford, TX. This contract position offers a chance to directly support K-12 students’ communication needs—as part of a dedicated educational team—through the remainder of the school year. You’ll primarily serve one campus, working closely with teachers and other professionals, and managing a caseload of approximately 60-65 students.
In this on-site-only role, you’ll engage in hands-on therapy, contribute to students’ progress, and help foster an inclusive and encouraging learning environment. The school year runs through May 2027, and you will enjoy a steady, full-time weekly schedule of up to 37.5 hours.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Texas SLPA license required at start—candidates must not be completing clinical hours.
- Experience supporting student communication in K-12 educational settings (school-based SLPA experience is ideal).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills strongly preferred, but not required.
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and school teams.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for student growth.
- Completion or verification of fingerprinting through the TEA is required (process may take up to 10 business days).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students per assigned caseload.
- Support implementation of IEPs and collaborate with supervising SLPs.
- Keep accurate therapy records and observations.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and progress reports.
- Adapt activities to student needs and contribute to a positive school culture.
