Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Texas SLPA license (unlicensed or those completing hours are not eligible)
- Previous experience or strong interest in working within school settings
- Bilingual Spanish speakers are highly encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage a caseload of approximately 60-65 students
- Comfort providing support to K-12 students across diverse backgrounds
- Must complete or verify TEA fingerprinting (can take up to 10 business days)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with teachers and staff
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising SLP in implementing speech and language services
- Conduct individualized or small group therapy sessions within the school setting
- Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and prepare reports as needed
- Engage with teachers, families, and other staff to foster student growth
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet each student’s communication needs
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to IEP documentation
