Skills and background desired:
- Current Texas SLPA license (required; candidates must hold an active license and have completed clinical hours)
- Proven experience working with school-aged children as an SLPA
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates encouraged to apply
- Fingerprint clearance through the TEA, or willingness to complete this process (can take up to 10 business days)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech/language intervention for an assigned caseload of approximately 60-65 K-12 students within a single campus (location confirmed upon assignment)
- Follow treatment plans developed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists
- Support documentation, track progress, and assist with student evaluations as needed
- Liaise with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment helping each student reach their potential
