Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Van Nuys, CA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active or eligible Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in California
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP-related documentation and implementing therapy plans
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Adaptability to serve both pre-school and elementary school populations, tailoring support to varied needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as prescribed
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP and educational staff to implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate in the documentation of progress, keeping clear and timely records
- Engage in parent and staff communications as needed to support student success
- Run group and individual therapy sessions, adapting strategies to best serve each child's goals
