Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification for California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly desirable
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and following a supervising SLP’s plan
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassion and patience for working with young learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collect and document data on student progress and provide regular updates to supervising staff
- Support classroom teachers and staff with strategies that promote communication development
- Engage positively with families and caregivers to encourage student growth
