Key Qualifications:
- Licensure or certification as an SLPA in Massachusetts
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Positive, student-centered approach to care and intervention
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Organizational skills for documentation and caseload management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized student treatment plans
- Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development as required
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to facilitate students’ language development
- Adapt activities and materials to meet varying student needs and abilities
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners
