School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Tacoma, Washington

Your responsibilities will center on supporting the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), working directly with students across various age groups as part of a collaborative special education team. You’ll deliver direct therapy services and assist with documentation and progress monitoring, all under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll also have the chance to contribute creative ideas for communication development and foster a positive, inclusive environment for each student. Specific caseload details, including student numbers and age ranges, will be provided prior to assignment.
Ideal candidates bring:
- Active Washington SLPA licensure, with ESY certification required
- Demonstrated experience supporting speech-language services in schools or healthcare settings
- Knowledge of therapy techniques and procedures relevant to a school-based caseload
- Clear communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- A willingness to adapt to various age groups and needs, ensuring the best outcomes for all students
