Speech Therapy Assistant in Sunnyvale, CA
An opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students in a Sunnyvale, CA school setting during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract position offers 40 hours per week over five days, providing dedicated assistance to students with extensive support needs, including those utilizing AAC devices.
Key responsibilities include implementing speech therapy plans, collecting data, and monitoring student progress. The role requires experience working within school districts, particularly with students requiring significant support, and proficiency in data collection methods. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- SLPA certification in California with at least one year of experience
- Previous work experience in a school district environment
- Experience supporting students with extensive needs
- Competence in data collection and progress monitoring
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Familiarity with AAC device usage is beneficial
