Speech Language Pathology Assistant

You’ll support communication development for a caseload of 25 young learners across multiple preschools, collaborating with educators and supervising SLPs in a dynamic, travel-based role.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license (SLPA) in Maine
- Previous experience in a school or early childhood setting preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills to travel between multiple preschool sites
- Ability to work closely with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication skills with young children and diverse school teams
- Adaptable, energetic, and invested in early childhood development
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and support services to preschool-aged children under SLP supervision
- Travel to a variety of preschool settings within the district
- Execute activities and interventions designed to foster communication and language growth
- Document sessions, track progress, and assist in developing strategies for each student
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to maximize student potential
- Support generalization of skills across classroom and social settings
