Support Student Communication and Success
We're seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a dedicated school team in Waterboro, Maine. In this full-time role, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students strengthen their communication skills and achieve success in the classroom and beyond.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy services under the direction of a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities.
Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication goals.
Document therapy sessions and student progress accurately.
Assist with preparing therapy materials and maintaining treatment records.
Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success.
Help foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field, as required by Maine regulations.
Eligible for or currently holding the appropriate SLPA credentials required in Maine.
Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Passion for helping students develop effective communication skills.
