Speech Therapy Assistant - Simi Valley, CA

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' communication growth during a key leave coverage period, with an assignment beginning in August 2026 and running through November/December 2026. You’ll enjoy a structured 30-hour workweek (Monday through Friday) as you contribute your Speech-Language Pathology expertise within a vibrant educational setting. Working alongside on-site SLPAs, you’ll have the support needed to make an impact with a manageable caseload of approximately 45 students.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain it before start date
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Competence in collaborating with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Solid grasp of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech, language, and communication therapy services to a diverse student population
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Supervise and collaborate with SLPAs to ensure quality service delivery
- Consult with teachers, families, and other school staff to promote generalization of skills
- Maintain up-to-date documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment
